Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

What a wonderful day we had today!! The weather is BEAUTIFUL!!! We started the day off with some green shamrock pancakes, with green sprinkles. Then after we got on all of our green attire we headed downtown for the parade. We met some friends and Mee-Maw and watched the parade. It was so much fun. We didn't have the best seats in the house and were a little bit late, but it was still fun!! After the parade we went into Mee-Maw's work to see her friends and Levi and Mallory loved that! I think Mee-Maw did too! ;-)

After some lunch we headed to the Canal which they dyed green for the holiday. We walked around and let the kids run around and play. It was alot of fun....tiring, but fun! Pictures tell a lot more than I can!

Breakfast! Levi really got a kick out of the pancakes!

Levi with his buddy Seth watching the parade.

Mee-Maw and Mallory "enjoying" the parade! lol

I think Mallory only smiled and waved ONCE during the parade! She just was not in a good mood, poor girl! Good thing Mee-Maw was there!

Gazing at the horses, trucks, adn weird people!

After the parade we headed to the "green" canal! I was so nervous Levi would fall in! I was actually more concerned that if he did I might have to jump in the cold water to get him! LOL It's only a few feet deep!

Fish!

This is the first time I've been at the canal. I've driven by and even walked by, but I've never taken time to enjoy it. It's beautiful!!

Thankfully the weather was nice! Otherwise this part of our walk would have been awful!! The mist from the waterfall cooled us off! Levi was a little intimidated by it and Mallory was asleep at this point.

Hanging out on the hill.
Her shirt says "I'm a wee bit Irish!"

Playing on the hill!

Levi was running ALL over the place! He had so much fun!

Climbing...

and more running!

I had to fight him to get this picture!

I thought Mallory would be asleep on the way home, but no! She talked the whole way!

Levi, on the other hand, was out before we were on the interstate!

Overall, we had a wonderful day, very tiring, but very fun!

Winter Funnies

So, I see that I missed the whole month of February!! I swear I blinked on January 31st and then it was March 1st!! I don't know what happened!! And when I went to go pick up my camera today to take a funny picture of Levi's mischief, I realized that I hadn't picked up my camera in WEEKS!! Bad mommy!!!!

So, instead of boring you with details about nothing, because that's what we've been doing lately, I'll just narrate through pictures!! Since we've been staying in alot this winter (I do become a little bit of a hibernator this time of year) I have alot of silly pictures of my kids!! So, here we go!! Oh and hang on til the end, because I've saved the best ones for last!

Levi has been making these weird faces when I want to take his picture. I think he thinks he's smiling! Here the kids are enjoying some cookies! Messy!!

Levi's Popeye face!

Can I have a napkin please? Or maybe a bath?
Mmm, she's so cute!!

Trying to take pictures of my kids together is torture. It's torture for me and torture for them!! They can't pose or even sit close to each other for longer than 2 seconds. Trying to get them both to even look near the camera is a challenge. And unfortunately, I give up quickly!! Here are the results of my puny efforts!!

Levi has been quite the handful lately...and that's putting it nicely!! He really has been testing my patience and pushing my buttons. I try so hard to be patient, but sometimes it's just not easy!! With that being said, I really love the moments where I can see his fun, loving personality come to life!

Here is one of the longest trains I think I've ever seen him make! :)

This part isn't fun, but this is what his room seems to end up like every single day!! It's exhausting!!

Oh Levi. That's all I can say!!

I love to see the kids playing together. They are doing this more and more often these days. A funny story for you - the other day I was resting in the recliner and the kids were playing. They raced into the laundry room and shut the door. I wanted them to get out, but I was being too lazy to get up to get them. Then I heard them giggling and really enjoying themselves. I didn't want to interrupt their fun and listening to their giggles really warmed my heart. I thought to myself that there wasn't anything they could ruin or get hurt on. The dog's water and food was in there, but they know better than to play in the water. So I finally went in to check on them only to find them with a basket of clean socks, which I forgot about being in there, scatter all across the floor and filling the dog's water bowl to the brim!! And to top it off, they were sucking the water out of the socks!!! Oh it was gross and hilarious at the same time!! They were still laughing so hard it was hard for me to punish them, even though they know better than to play in the dog's water!! I wish I would have grabbed my camera!!

They love to help vacuum!! I hope this lasts all throughout college!! :)

Levi has been potty trained for quite sometime and he never has accidents. He has difficulty getting his pants up and down on his own, so it's something we are working on. As long as he doesn't have jeans on, he can get his pants down, but pulling them up is really hard for him. Today he came in to me with his undies and britches around his ankles informing me that he used the toilet paper for the toilet. I just thought he meant he got a little on the toilet and kindly wiped it up. LOL, not!! To my surprise I learned that he put ALL the toilet paper in the toilet!!

He was quite proud thinking he made a great accomplishment! But he couldn't figure out why it wouldn't flush! lol

Mallory insisted on getting in the picture too! And yes they still have a little bit of dinner on their faces. And yes, they are still in their pj's at dinner!!! LOL

Sorry for the long blog post, but I wanted to get all the funny pictures in! Hopefully I won't take so long for the next one! :)
