Seriously Fun Stuff

This year for St. Patrick's day we started a new tradition with my mom, my nieces, and my girls.  Well, and me too, of course!  We had our first annual St. Patrick's day Tea Party!  Oh my, it was so much fun!  We all grabbed a hat from my mom's collection and sat down for a nice cuppa tea.  It was authentic with pinkies up, girl scout cookies, and Irish music (there may have been a little Irish step dancing behind the scenes too)!  We giggled so much and drank lots of tea.  We decided that we need to do this every year!

Happy St Patty's day!

Excuse me while I grab a cookie real quick.

Pinkie up!

Love my mommy!!

So blessed to call her my daughter!

Me and my girls!

Mallory, such a sweet big sister.

I think she had at least 5 cookies!

Seriously, we had SO MUCH FUN!!

So beautiful!

My Family, My Life

It seems like so many things happen on a daily basis, but yet it also feels like everyday is boring and the same.  Probably because I spend it with the same people, doing the same things, day in and day out, but because those people are CHILDREN it makes daily mundane tasks interesting.

One of our new favorite activities is going to the library.  It helps that we are 3 minutes away and they do story time on Wednesdays, a day that we usually have nothing to do.  It also helps that the Waverly branch is teeny tiny and not many people there.  So most days, it's just us! It's been hard finding fun things to do this winter when the weather is cold ~ my kids are definitely outside kids.  But between baking, checking out the library, MOPS, and play dates we've kept ourselves pretty busy.

Here are some fun pictures of random things. LOL :)

Little Harper Lou riding her horsey, with baby in tow of course!

Mallory LOVES to do anything girly and "playing hair stuff" is one of them!

One of my Valentines at his school party.

I think Levi is the photographer here.

Organizing his lego's.

Cupcake time!

I think she might have broken one, but she HAD to help.

And like any awesome mother would do, I let them lick the beaters! :)

Yum!

All clean after bath!

This girl dances ALL the time!  She loves it!

And now she has a shadow...Harper Lou loves to dance too!

Our Christmas

Christmas this year was not like any other we've had before.  Not only was it our first year to where Harper could understand what was going on and enjoy the activities, but this year we were not in "our" home for Christmas.  We sold our house and moved out on December 9th and moved in with Mee-Maw, my mother-in-law.  We do not have a house yet, so we are still living with her.  Things are going well and I couldn't ask for a better living situation for this transition, but after 4 months we are ready for our own home!

Christmas came and went so quickly, probably because we were busy with selling our home, moving, and trying to get accustomed to our new settings.  It was a wonderful Christmas and we made sure that at the forefront of our hearts was to celebrate our Savior's birth and to remember that home truly is where the heart is.

At my mom's this year, the kids put on a Christmas Pageant.  It's something I would always do with my cousins for my Mee-Maw when I was little and I thought it would be nice for my kids to do the same.  It wasn't anything spectacular, but it sure was fun and the kids were so CUTE!!

I'm sure you've noticed that I'm not a very good photographer.  I wish I were, but I find no enjoyment in taking pictures, just viewing them.  :)  Plus the camera on my phone is not working so any pictures of Christmas with McInerny's haven't been uploaded yet.  Regardless of how good or bad of a photographer I am, here are some pictures to show what we did this Christmas.
