For My Family

I am posting on here for my beautiful family who doesn't give up on us even when I don't blog for months!! With that being said, I have no idea what to say! :)

Life in the McInerny home is busy, sometimes chaotic (ok, usually chaotic), but always full of love! We've been busy doing so many fun things that it will take a few posts to catch up with everything...which is a goal of mine, I promise!

Mallory and I got to go see the Disney Princesses on Ice with some friends and it was so much fun!! It was heart melting to see the expression on Mallory's face. Disney always knows how to put on a good show and it was amazing. They featured the stories from the movies The Princess and the Frog, Cinderella, and Tangled. Mallory loves them all, but Cinderella is a consistent favorite. The Tangled portion of the show was the main event and they did a lot of really neat stunts and effects so it was really entertaining. She could not keep her eyes off of the show and when I tried to take a picture and the camera was in front of her she would tell me to stop or to move because she couldn't see! I tried to get good pictures to capture the fun moments, but of course in those arena's it's hard to get good shots. Here's a few pictures from our fun night!

Mallory wiping her face from the goodies we sneaked in. (I was trying to use the word "snuck" in here, and low and behold it's not a word! Oops, I've always used that word!)

Cinderella's carriage taking her to the ball!

Mommy and Mallory, one of my favorites of us.

Finishing the show with Rapunzel from Tangled

First Preschool Program

In Early December, Levi was in his first preschool Christmas program. It was a really big deal at his school and they practiced for a very long time. We got a copy of the songs they were singing and we listened to them in the van. Mallory memorized the songs along with him. We really enjoyed the music. His teacher, Miss Vicky, always encouraged him and thought he was doing a great job. He had one line, and in the spirit of Christmas was probably the most important line of the whole program. Basically, the program consisted of about 6 songs and with some dialogue in between songs. With one particular song, children listed their gifts they were thankful for. Levi's line was "Thank you God for Jesus. It's the best gift of all." Tear! Such a powerful line and he did a great job. It definitely made me tear up! But of course, he could make me proud with any line or no line at all!

Christmas Time

Oh how I love Christmas time. It is such a fun time of year and I just love the feeling of it. I love that we have so many traditions and we try hard to do lots of fun things. To start things off, we made a countdown chain so that we would always know how many days until Christmas. It was a lot of fun...and by the way, there are 11 days 'til Christmas!

Today we spent the day at Grommy's making cookies. Well, that's not entirely true. We did spend the entire day AT Grommy's, but Grommy and Mommy were the only ones making cookies. Levi and Mallory played all day, while Harper slept soundly in her swing. I was hoping the kids would want to help, but that only lasted about 3 minutes. I was shocked, but somewhat relieved! We had such a great time. I could hear Levi and Mallory playing "pretend." They went to work, they played with their horse, they danced and played dress up, and they wrestled. They really are the best of friends and I love the days where they get along all day. Levi was helping Mallory dress up in her princess dress up clothes and at one point I heard Mallory ask Levi to dance with her. Oh, it was adorable. They are such sweet kids....makes my heart melt!

One of my favorite things to do this time of year is decorating the tree and hanging our stockings. It ended up being kind of frustrating because we got a late start and we had a hard time with the lights. At first there was one string that wasn't working and then there was another string not working and it was just a mess. But finally, we got the lights up and the tree got decorated. The kids helped too, hence the majority of the ornaments at the bottom of the tree. :)

We have many more fun things planned. I just love this time of year!!

Sweet Harper's Photo Shoot

A friend of mine is just starting to dabble in photography so she offered to take some pictures for free. It was a fun experience and they turned out well. Glad they were free. We were there for 3 hours and I got peed on twice!!

Happy 4th Birthday, Levi!

WOW!! My little baby boy, my first born is FOUR YEARS OLD! Where has the time gone? Where did the little baby go? I love the young boy that he is becoming. He is very sweet and polite. He is a leader, very strong willed, and yet very loving and caring. He is an awesome big brother, always caring about the needs of his little sisters. He makes me smile. He loves his mommy and he loves to snuggle. I will take advantage of this AS LONG AS I CAN!!! Right now his favorite toys are Monster Trucks and Transformers. Its sad that he's not into toddler toys anymore and he's mainly only interested in "big boy" toys.

This year was a fun year to celebrate and we had 3 celebrations! I sent cupcakes with him to school and they were kind enough to take a few pictures. I love seeing him at school! We had a birthday dinner at home with a few presents and then we had his big party at Chuck E. Cheese. It was all awesome!!

His teacher, Miss Vicki, gave him a sucker and sticker! She's so nice!

Sitting with his friends for lunch. Notice the jerky for lunch...he insisted on taking some of Scott's deer jerky for lunch! :)

Cupcakes!

Birthday presents at home! Thanks Grommy and Mee Maw!

Levi with his friends, Connor, Zeke, and Hannah. Oh, and Chuck E!

He had to have a Monster Truck cake.

Thanksgiving...Better Late Than Never!!

It seems as though I just can't catch up! I'm always one step behind. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up soon and not always feel like I'm trying to keep my head above water! :)

Levi had a Thanksgiving Feast at his preschool and we were invited to attend. I signed up to help serve food and thankfully Mee Maw was able to come help out with Mallory and Harper. I don't know what I would have done without her help! It was a fun little lunch and we all had fun.
