What's Happnin'?

Hello to all my blog followers! (Like what, all 2 of you?? lol) I'm sure I've lost a few of you over the course of my blogging hiatus.

My children are growing so quickly! I love to see them grow, but why does it have to happen so fast?? Mallory had her 6 month check up last week and she is 14 lbs and sadly I can't remember how long she is!! I do remember the percentages, and because of them I call her my little lollipop!! Poor girl, she is in the 25% for weight, 50% for height, and in the 75% for her head size!! Oh well, I don't dwell on percentages too much. I just think it's funny! She had her shots and the doctor said everything looks great! My mom was able to stay with Levi so that I could take Mallory alone and it was nice to be able to concentrate on her and not have any interruptions!

Levi is almost 30 lbs and he's starting to get a little taller. Most people still tell me that he's "so little", but I think because he can talk so well, people mistake him for being older. I'm pretty sure that he is average size. He is talking very well and pretty much constantly. He has a memory like an elephant and will tell you all about different things from his past like going to the pumpkin patch or Children's Museum. He is always polite and remembers to say "please" and "thank you" or when he says "no" it's always "no, thank you." He's also been saying "yea, sure" instead of "yes." At first we thought he was saying "yes, sir," that would have been a long shot as we have no idea how he would have heard that! LOL Ahh, but my boy is growing up so quickly!

We are enjoying this winter, for the most part. We've been getting out of the house frequently by either going to MOPS, the mall and playground, or to story-time at the library. I'm looking forward to warmer weather, but I would say that we've done a pretty good job at keeping busy indoors this winter. Come on, Spring!!

Sunny Days, Sweepin' the Clouds Away!!

Levi got tickets to Sesame Street Live for his birthday from a very dear friend (THANKS BOBBI!!)! We went last Sunday and we all had a BLAST!!! We had to drive 3 hours to South Bend because, for some strange reason, they didn't come to Indianapolis. The road trip was fun, though! It started snowing once we reached the outskirts of South Bend and didn't even stop once we got home!!

We kept telling Levi he was going to see Elmo and he would get excited. Once we got out of the car he started squealing with excitement!! And it made me really excited!! The theater was really neat, too. Very old and majestic looking. We bought him a program and took our seats. Levi was gazing at the stage in wonderment. He really didn't know or understand what was going on, but he was very interested to find out! Big Bird made an announcement that the show would begin soon and Levi's eye's lit up! Once the show finally began he was zoned out!!! We tried talking to him, asking questions, and just trying to engage with him, but he wasn't wanting any distractions from the show!! Needless to say he thoroughly enjoyed himself!!! It was a hit!!

Joy To The World!

Happy Birthday, Jesus!!

I know this is a bit belated, but we have been pretty busy over the past couple of weeks and I'm just now getting around to blogging! I have some catching up to do!

Christmas was absolutely WONDERFUL!! We had so much fun with our two beautiful children and our awesome family! We are just so very blessed! We started the festivities Christmas Eve by going to church and then having our parents over for dinner afterward. Then the kids got their Christmas jammies on and then off to bed they went! Levi and daddy left cookies and milk for Santa and then Levi went to bed excitedly!! I don't think he fully understood what we were telling him, but he was playing along quite well!

We woke up Christmas morning to find that Santa had been to our home and he even left a note along with presents! The stockings were full and Levi didn't even notice! We had to encourage him to open gifts, but by the end of the day he was a pro! So, we started the day at home, just us. It was so nice. Then we headed off to Mee-Maw's house (Scott's mom) for some yummy breakfast, great fellowship, and of course, to open presents. It was so fun to see the all three kiddo's opening presents, playing in paper, and just enjoying all the commotion. Isabella, my beautiful niece, makes three in case you were wondering. And she's the one that loved the paper the most! :) Here are some fun pictures from Christmas at home and Mee-Maw's!

After a fun morning at our house and Mee-Maw's, we headed to Grom and Grandpa's house for more fun! My mom cooked a beautiful meal with my favorite warm beverage, wassle. Yum! It was a great time and I love spending time with my family! Grom and grandpa got Levi a pony for Christmas! :) Not a real one, don't worry!! LOL Take a look at all the fun we had!!

At long last, the day was over. We were all exhausted!! The next day we went to my Aunt Rita's for our Straber Christmas. We always do a white elephant exchange and it's always HILARIOUS!!! We always have a great time! Then on Sunday, we went to the Colt's game, which I don't even want to talk about really. I'm very disappointed that we actually paid money for the Colt's administration to bench the starters, but whatever. We still enjoyed the first part of the game and the company! :)

Ahh, finally, Christmas is over. I love the Christmas season, but this year, honestly, I was glad for it to be over. I am exhausted. Can't wait til next year! ;)

Bling bling!!

I always knew that if I had a little girl I would get her ears pierced as a baby. Maybe it's because I had my ears pierced when I was a baby, but I don't know. Anyway, I took Mallory to get her ears pierced 3 weeks ago. She did great, except for the crying and wailing part! Thankfully, that only lasted a few short minutes and then she was fine. And we haven't had any problems with them! AND I LOVE THEM!!!! :)

Going to see Santa!

Levi and Mallory got to see Santa TWICE this year!! That must mean they were really good kids!! Levi really loves Santa and still talks about him all the time. It took him a while to get the idea of Santa, but once he got it there was no stopping his imagination!! If you ask Levi if Santa came to his house, he will tell you all about how he and daddy left cookies and milk for Santa, and how Santa ate the cookies!!

Levi first met Santa at my mom's school. It was great! She works at an elementary school and they had a little party in the gym. They had cookies and drinks and the kids could color and then meet Santa! It gave Levi the opportunity to see Santa from afar without having to wait in a tremendously long line! Once it was his turn, he wasn't afraid at all and he told Santa the toys that he wanted; Handy Manny and tractors!

We also got to go see Santa at the Indiana State Museum and that was awesome! They have this really cool train for kids (and grown-ups) to ride. Levi (and Scott) LOVED it!! We also got to enjoy the museum while we were there. We had a great time. I really think Levi will enjoy museums. He sure did seem to enjoy this one! And yesterday I asked him if he remembered going to ride the train and he proceeded to tell me all about the museum and the different things we saw there! I was quite impressed with him memory!! Here are some fun pictures of that day.
