Easter

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter! We sure did! We spent lots of time with family and enjoyed every minute of it....or just about anyways!! We have learned that Levi is the type of baby that needs his naps!! Otherwise, he is a very cranky baby!! We experienced that first hand on Saturday and made sure that Levi got his naps on Sunday and it was a much better day!

The handsome little boy wore a cute little sailor outfit that Grom got for him. He looked so darling in it! I just loved it! Daddy, on the other hand, didn't think it was so great for his little boy. Oh well! (Next time Daddy, you can dress him!) As for Easter egg hunting and Easter baskets, he's still a little young of course, but that didn't stop the grandma's from spoiling him!! He got a book and a few fun toys!!

Here is the best picture I could get of his full outfit -- just after a very important nap!

Levi with Grandpa at church!

I normally don't get to rock Levi to sleep or hold him while he's sleeping, but on Saturday I did because it was the only way to get him to sleep. Boy was he fighting me!! That boy sure is stubborn! I guess when his mommy and daddy are both pretty stubborn he is sure to be stubborn. At least he gets it honestly, right?

And see?! A good nap = a happy baby!
Sleep is DEFINITELY important to this boy!

A special Easter day with Grom and Grandpa! Levi got to wear Grandpa's headphones!

Everyday is a fun day with Levi, but with special holidays he makes it much sweeter!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Levi just wanted to send you a happy wish for St. Patrick's Day! If that cute, gummy smile doesn't brighten your day, then I don't know what will! :)

Levi is such a good boy these days! He is growing like a weed and learning so many new things. He is starting to really concentrate on grabbing objects and batting at his toys. He loves to sit up and look at everything and to have toys in front of him to play with. His new favorite thing is to stand up on your lap and look around. He is very much aware of his surroundings now, moreso than before. In fact, today while he was eating Grandma McInerny came over and Buster, our very friendly dog, was squealing like crazy. Immediately, Levi stopped eating and stared at me with big eyes, wanting to know what was going on! So we had to take a tiny break for him to check things out, then it was back to eating!

Cutest Baby Ever

For those of you who don't know, I have the CUTEST baby in the world! ;) I know, I know he has alot of competition out there, but really he is! We got him a jumperoo a few weeks ago and he loves it. At first he didn't know what to think and didn't like it much. But now he really likes it. He is starting to reach for toys and he bats at them too. I am constantly changing his clothes these days due to the drool. I thought it might be because of teething, but I read somewhere that around 3 or 4 months babies begin to have more saliva and they just don't know what to do with it yet. By the time he's done in his jumperoo he and the jumperoo are usually soaked!

It's official!

Levi is 3 months old! I can't believe it! Now I understand everyone when they tell me they grow up fast. We are truly enjoying every minute that we have with him. We have recently introduced rice cereal to his diet. The last time he had some he didn't like it at all and kept spitting it out, but we are going to continue to try. Levi has a problem with reflux so his pediatrician suggested rice cereal. We are hoping it helps him. Speaking of his pediatrician, Levi was at the doctor yesterday and he now weighs 13lbs 8oz! Yikes! No wonder all his "0-3 months" clothes aren't fitting anymore! Doctor says he is very healthy, yay!

We took a special little visit this week to see Granny, Levi's great-grandma. Unfortunately, I've been such a bad mommy that I haven't taken him to see her at all yet. But she is such a wonderful Granny that she was there at the hospital when he was born. He loved being at her house and showed off his beautiful gummy smile. We promised her we wouldn't take so long to come back! We enjoy getting out of the house at least twice a week. We very often meet our friends Katie and Mollie for lunch or coffee. And on Monday, Levi is going to Grandma's house so mommy can have a break! Yay for grandma's!! And when the weather is nicer we can get outside more and go for a stroll. I heard birds chirping earlier! What a great sign!

Here's Levi with his Granny

Currently, we are working on getting back to our routine. We got a little too flexible there for a while and so now we are getting back on track. I am starting to work a little more and I am craving some routine!! As I believe Levi does too -- he's alot like his mommy! Since we've gone back on schedule his eating and sleeping habits have gotten so much better!

Okay, so EVERYONE loves a naked baby! Here are some naked baby pictures. No worries, they are rated "E" for everyone! He's got his diaper on! :)

Here's Levi chewing on his teether Aunt Nicole got for him!

Look at those cute toes! Monkey toes more like!

OH, I LOVE THAT SMILE!

Cute is all I can say!

I can't get enough of my naked jay bird!

Alot to catch up on!

Okay, so I have been procrastinating a new post for the past few weeks only because our son is now almost 3 months old! WOW! The wonderful and crazy life as a mom has kept me very busy! I am proud to introduce our son, Levi Wayne McInerny, who was born on November 29th, 2007. We was and still is a very healthy little boy weighing in at birth at 8lbs and 11oz and 21 inches. Since he has blessed our life with his presence we have been on cloud 9 and madly in love. Who knew how deep love could be when the love we have as a married unit expanded into a child formed by God through us. What a wonderful blessing!

So to fast forward through the past few months, Levi is doing so well! He is holding is head up pretty well. He smiles alot and does a little "cooing" and laughing from time to time, but so far he's pretty laid back like his daddy. His new favorite past time is sucking on his hands, which is turning into biting his hands. We'll see how soon his teeth will come in. But overall he is a good baby and loves life. He eats and plays well and generally he loves to sleep. Our two furry babies, Buster and Megan, love him, but probably wish sometimes it would go back to the way it used to be when they were the center of our attention!

I will continue to update on a much more frequent basis. Stay tuned for the latest and greatest!

Here are some pictures of our little love!

The Nine Month Journey

Finally, the time has come for me to be a mommy! After nine long months, I am ready to meet my son, not to mention have my body back! Although, I must say I have had a wonderful and very blessed pregnancy. Besides the terrible morning sickness in the beginning, and the horrendous heartburn thereafter, I have had a very easy and somewhat comfortable pregnancy! We found out that we are having a boy and he is due November 24th...which by the away was yesterday! So it is only days now until we meet Levi Wayne McInerny. We chose Levi because we wanted a strong name that wasn't extremely common. Levi is a Hebrew name meaning "joined" and is a biblical name. Wayne is a very special name that we knew we would always use for our first son. Wayne is the name of Scott's father and we are glad to honor him.
Now that the pregnancy journey is almost over, it seems slightly bittersweet. I will miss having a little one moving around reminding me of the miracle of life. Scott has been a wonderful support helping me with anything I need and rubbing my back when it is achy. I know he will make an awesome daddy!
Well, it seems the time is near and the next time I post I will be a mom - finally! It's all down hill from here...right? :)

Welcome!

Welcome to "McInerny Central", our new family blog! I hope you enjoy the fun pictures and updates!
